SCORING SYSTEM REMAINS UNTOUCHED

SCORING SYSTEM RETAINED  On 22nd May 2021 in 82nd BWF Annual General Meeting which was held virtually and much waited decision was made.  BWF Members  voted on the proposal to amend the Laws of Badminton relating to the Scoring System from 3×21 to 5×11 The proposal was put forward by the Indonesian Badminton Association and the Badminton Association of Maldives, and seconded by Badminton Asia, Badminton Korea Association and Chinese Taipei Badminton Association, received 66.31% for and 33.69% against, falling just short of the two-thirds majority required. 282 in total votes were casted  “Our Membership has spoken, and despite the very small margin in which the two-thirds majority was not reached, the BWF respects the outcome to retain the three games to 21 points scoring system,” Høyer (president of BWF) said. So as to conclude from next tournament onwards the previous rule of  3×21 would be continued. SportifyBadminton RIJU PATIDAR

 A boy from small town of  Dhar now represents   his   country  in the world of badminton.  A lot of us know Dhar as a small city away from a very known tourist place called Mandu, but the city is also famous for many know national and international badminton players.  One of them is a 20 year old boy named Yash Raikwar . He is playing and participating in all India level tournaments since 2011. With a number of state and all India level titles to his name he recently represented the country in 4 international tournaments.  He started playing as a sub junior in U-13 category. His first ever All India Tournament was in 2012 in Vishakhapatanam where he turned out as 2nd runner up in U-13 boys singles category. His first National tournament he played was in 2011 were he just participated in boys  U-13 doubles. But in 2013 he won his first National's title in boys U-13 doubles.
