 The majority of Indians dominating

On the 2nd day of India Open tournament 2022 Majority of Indians like Rahul Yadav, Lakshya Sen, Mithun Manjunath, H. S. Prannoy, Sameer Verma, and Kidambi Shrikanth in Men's singles event graduated to the second round.

In Women's singles event along with P.V. Sindhu and Saina Nehwal; Ira Sharma, Ashmita Chaliha, Anupama Upadhyaya, Akarshi Kashyap, Keyura Mopati, Malvika Bansod, and Tanya Hemant also proceeded to 2nd round of 16.
