DAY 3 INDIA OPEN 2022

 COVID-19 TAKES OVER THE TOURNAMENT

On the 3rd day of YONEN-SUNRISE India Open 2022, in the round 2 of 16, 11 matches were walked-over. 7 players including Kidambi Shrikanth, Ashwini Ponnappa, Mithun Manjunath, Ritika Rahul Thakkar, Tressa Jolly, Simran Aman Singh, and Khushi Gupta were tested positive for covid.

Tomorrow on the 4th day of the tournament Quarter final would be played.

In Men's singles Kim Bruun (Denmark) would play against Brian Yang (Canada), Sergey Sirant (Russia) vs Loh Kean Yew (Singapore), Lakshya Sen (India) vs H.S. Prannoy (India) and NG Tze Yong (Malasiya) vs Nhat Nguyen (Ireland)

In Women's singles P.V. Sindhu (India) vs Ashmita Chaliha (India), Yeo Jin Min (Singapore) vs Supanida Katethong (Thailand), Aakarshi Kashyap (India) vs Malvika Bansod (India) and Lauren Lam (USA) vs Busanan Ongbamrungphan (Thailand).
